FAQ

Helpful Information

HOW MANY TIMES SHOULD I TRAIN IN A WEEK?

Atleast 3 classes are recommended for beginners to build stamina and muscle memory. Eventually 4 classes make one’s training wholesome and more meaningful. At higher levels, training is done every day, even if it is for 30 mins. Training and learning is a lifelong process.

IS KARATE TRAINING DANGEROUS? WILL I GET HURT?

No. Karate is a very safe art. It is not a sport. Whenever self-defense or sparring classes are conducted at higher levels, very close and strict protocols are followed. All our instructors are trained in handling such sessions very professionally. Complete safety gear is mandatory for all such lessons.

WHAT IS THE BEST AGE TO START?

Karate is for everybody. There are examples of children as small as 5 years of age who have started and never looked back. There is no upper limit in terms of age. This is an individual’s choice that we respect and one has to see if this kind of training suits them. Learning Karate will always make a difference to one’s life no matter when they join.

WHAT KIND OF DIET IS RECOMMENDED TO SUPPLEMENT TRAINING IN KARATE?

This is a very personal choice. What we do recommend is to always stay hydrated during your training. To help in muscle recovery, a diet that suits one’s life style and daily schedules should be wholesome. If one chooses to do another sport or follow a parallel fitness regime, then a dietician’s opinion is highly recommended.

HOW MUCH SLEEP IS RECOMMENDED FOR MUSCLE?

A minimum of 8 hours of sleep is advised in order to gain maximum benefit from training in Karate. Any amount of sleep over and above 8 hours, makes the recovery process more beneficial.
